Think about the millions of people out there who dont have anything or are so much less fortunate than you.

Think of the people who are losing their loved ones to murder, war, violence, etc. Then look to heaven and say "Forgive me God for when I whine, Im blessed indeed the world is mine" This line came from a poem I read once and each time i say it I feel better.

Everything happens in its own time, accept what you have now. The baby, marriage, etc will come in due time. If you arent happy with what you have now how will you be happy when you do have the husband, kids, etc.? You will always be looking for something more and what kind of example will you be setting for your kids?

Just try to live in the here and now and take one step at a time and before you know it all the things you want will come to you.

You will never be satisfied. There is always something bigger, better, nicer, more…and the list goes on. You will have to keep telling yourself that it is ok to have dreams but let it happen in its own time. Life is a journey so make sure you look all around you or you wil miss out on the simplest thing in life.

Just rememebr, it is ok to have dreams but dont let it be the center of your life. I wish for ma y things too in life but I am stil living in the present.

There are dozens of books out there written by well meaning intelligent people.
This must be the longest word that I know PROCRASTINATOR.
I think all of us go through this period at different levels and in different times in life.
Another big word
Appreciation *This is magic when you can appreciate the little things in life.Then one has to give up somethings to appreciate the Little things in life.
What you own and have now are the matter of coarse in your life.If these things were cancer what will you? Keep on living with it or would you get rid of it?
I simplified my life and some where the aging stopped. I look twenty years younger than my age.
Before I continue it is important for you to know that you may be dealing with people from a different culture from yours. So these answers may surprise you.
This is my story and I am happy to share it with you.I wanted fame , I wanted fortune and every thing that goes to make dreams and I had the nightmares you are dealing with now.
I drank the best wine money can buy. My shoes had a tone.My clothes sat on me like I was born to wear these clothes.I drove a good car and had a lovely life.I want more . Just a wee bit more.Luck for me I got up one morning and I realized I haven’t achieved the most important thing in my life that my grandmother taught us.I had this before the glory days and they were bedded deep inside me but I just did not care for it until that morning.Where are my true friends that shared the laughter and their last cigerette with me.I gave up my car, my fancy wines and clothes and to this day I do not use a cell phone. I have gone back to the days of myself and now I have achieved what my grandmother taught us.

Go volunteer at a homeless shelter, or group home and see what other people don’t have. You will soon realize you are fortunate and will learn to appreciate what you have.

Because happiness isnt found in things or in other people. It is found inside yourself.

You have to come to the place where you realize you do not need anything to be happy, then and only then can you have lasting happiness.

Ask yourself this, "how much is enough?" How much house? How much car? How much sex? How much is enough? Where do you draw the line? I read in the paper a few weeks back that someone paid over 100 million dollars for a house in the Hamptons. A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS for a HOUSE! thats insane. So what is insane for you?

There will always be more to get, that is what drives this countries economy, it is also what will drive you crazy if you let it.

I live in a 2 room apartment with my kids. I do not own a car. I don’t even have a TV! how weird is that. And it isn’t because I can’t afford things. I have a good job in my field of choice. I just learned at an early age that a person really does not need much at all – not really.

we was created with a void inside and only God can fill that! when we turn our lives over to Him we are happy and content. i use to be the most unhappy person always wanting more, now today i am happy and content and there is sweet peace i my life. you can read all the books you want but that void will still be there.

What’s wrong with wanting more from life? Everyone should have goals in life and when you fufill those you move onto new ones. Of course you have to be happy with what you have but you should always strive for better.
I don’t think you need any books-be happy with what you have, but remember how good it feels to have something you know you’ve earned or worked hard to get!
