My family was recently adopted by an Egyptian Mau-Looking cat. About 8 weeks ago she had two of the most adorable kittens I’ve ever seen. We’re pretty sure the father is our neighbor’s Siamese cat, since one of the kittens looks exactly like him. But the other one looks nothing like either of his parents. He is dark-colored, nearly black, extremely fluffy, has lighter (but not light) stripes on the inside of his two front legs, white rings around his eyes, a white chin and mouth, and if you look really close, you can just make out what looks like to be an "m" on his forehead. His ears are also a bit lighter than the rest of his body.
I’ve heard about cats being able to give birth to multiple father litters (don’t know if that is true or not). If this is possible, what would be a good guess as to the "breed" of the other father?
It’s not really that important to me, but I am a little curious. I wish I could link a picture, but all my pictures are on my cell!
To the first answer:
I looked at pictures of the Gray Tabby and the Manx. The kitten is much darker than the Gray Tabby, and is solid in color except for the markings I described. Also, I guess I should mention he does have a tail, unlike the Manx.
To the third person…
As I said… WE were adopted by her. She showed up about 8 weeks ago and gave birth to her kittens under our deck. She just became part of the family.
Also to the third… I am giving the dark one a home (as I have my own house apart from my parents) and my older sister is taking in the siamese looking one.
Sooo to clarify… we were adopted by her, not the other way around.
