My kitten has basically stopped eating and is acting strange?

My kitten binoo, is about 5 months old maybe 6.
She was the runt of the litter.
When she was first born she wasn’t getting enough food and basically going to die.
Everyone told me she was going to.
She slept constantly, didnt play with the other kittens etc.
I did everything i could to make her healthy again by trying different wet foods, cat milk etc.
Well it took about 2 months and she was actually like a normal energetic kitten like all the others.
But about a week ago she started sleeping all the time again, and looking low in energy. Not in her face, she looks happy.
She still purs constantly and loves my attention.
Usually she goes crazy for wet food, or a little bit of milk. I bought some for her cause she wasn’t eating the dry food. and all she did was sniff it and then went to lie down. :(
she usually eats a whole can to her self.
If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong with her please tell me.

She looks fine, puurrsss constantly ! But shes barely eating and drinking, and sleeping all the time

Heres some pictures of her. I thought i’d share her cuteness with you guyss.

shes a bit bigger now.
But I dont want her to die.

Please help me.
Do you think she could get better?
It seems like she is?
Im pretty freaked out.
My mom says that i should wait a few days.
I’m not sure if thats a good idea though.

Mind you she is acting almost fine except the not eating part and sleeping more than usual.

And she usually goes nuts for anything that moves. She like HAS to chase it.
But lately not so much. Shell just watch it hard.

Lethargy and refusing to eat or drink are signs of illness. She needs to see a vet ASAP. Not drinking will dehydrate her and cause serious problems with her kidneys. She’s adorable. Get her to the vet quickly.

She really needs to get to a vet. She has to have sufficient water or her kidneys will fail. Kidney failure is permanent. If she survives it she will need special care for the rest of her life. Trying to save a buck by not getting her prompt vet care can end up costing more to treat her or it could cost her her life. I don’t know what her exact problem is but I do know the consequences she could face if you just "wait it out".

Sounds like you really need to take your cat to the vet. If a cat is ever acting out of the ordinary you should always take that as a sign that something is wrong. He could have Gastrointestinal Parasites. Take her to the vet.

I had a VERY similar problem with my kitten, although she was quite a bit younger. I couldn’t see any symptoms of illness except her lethargy and not wanting to eat or drink. She actually had a respiratory infection. The vet gave me some antibiotics, and I got some unflavored pedialite to give her with a dropper. Within 2 days, she was getting her bounce back, it was wonderful :)

Going by your additional information, your mother telling you to wait, I wouldn’t do that. If she gets dehydrated it can be very dangerous. You can do a test by pinching the skin between her shoulder blades and gently pulling up. So it’s like a tepee or tent). If it stays up for more than 3 seconds, she is dehydrated and may need iv fluids. I would not risk not taking her to the vet, today if possible.

Sounds like a URI, Upper Respiratory Infection. She’ll need to be seen by the vet. When cats get URI’s they can’t smell anything. If they can’t smell they will not eat or drink. That will quickly lead to dehydration.
Take her to the vet. She will need antibiotics and maybe some IV fluids.
It shouldn’t be too expensive. I would do this today, before it gets really bad.

Shes really cute >^w^< i’d say that she may have worms but im not to sure. She could just be a little sick or its bc she just doesnt really feel like eating is more tired. I had an orange cat which i called Diamond and she did the same thing and we lost her c/ there was nothing to do.

The other two posters are completely right. I would say more than likely it’s a Respiratory Infection. My cat acted the exact same way. She even purred on the way to the vets office. I thought I might be over reacting since she seemed "happy". But when I got her there, she had a temp. of 106 (norm. cat temp.=101) and had to stay at the vet’s office for 3 days. They kept her hydrated with injections. This is something that you can’t do. Please don’t wait to take her.

I realize that cost might be a concern, and antibiotics and a office visit are fairly cheap. It only gets expensive if they stay for a reasonable amount of time.
