The kittens were born MARCH 10TH 2008 MONDAY we are trying to give away the 5 kittens, one to two kittens for each family that Wants one, but we havent been asking if people want them, we were in church, and my friend prounced that we had 5 seems sounds and looks to be heathy kittens. When church was over, we were heading out to go eat, and some girl and her boyfriend asked for one of the kittens, they will be coming over in a month to pick one up, we showed them pictures anyways- my question is…. Do you think it is for the better? (The white girl has black under her eyes and is very Skiny) do you think this is such a good idea to just willy nilly give them out or do you agree with me that we should check out the house, and the people were giving them to?
MY FRIEND IS GIVING THE KITTENS TO THE MAN AND WOMAN IN A MONTH AND MY FRIEND WILL NOT EVEN CHECK THE PEOPLE OR THE HOUSE IT IS WRONG
who agrees?
(The kittens eyes are already open)
(The kittens walk ALITTLE but are wobbly).

you shoulnt give them away untill they are at least 8 weeks old. i personally think you should go and check out the living situation. But that is jsut my opinion. i wouldnt give them to anyone who u arent comfortable giving them to. It;s whats best for the cats. check it out first..
Cats give birth all the time without a vet. I mean just look how many Chinese restaurants there are. mmmmmmm…….sweet and sour……………..
Yes check out the family and house hold please. Because people use them for very crule things and or they can be very neglecting i personally ony sell or give kittenes to friends or family.
You should check out the people and their homes. It’s irresponsible to trust lives to people who you don’t even have any idea if they’ll take proper care of them.
def check the house
please find good homes for the kittens. if you don’t know the people – definitely check them out! And i would prefer to give them to people who will have them as indoor cats.
Definately check out the house first. I have a cat that has had several litters in the past couple years and I ALWAYS meet the people and check the house out beforehand. Take the cat they are interested on the visit too, just to see how they react to the environment and how the people act with the cat. There are a lot of people out there that would do cruel things to an animal…even who want them to feed to snakes or whatever. If you do all that and STILL don’t feel comfortable giving that family the cat, (no matter how small, or dumb the reason) then don’t! Find someone else to give them to.
Also you should wait until they are AT LEAST 8 weeks old because they need to feed off of their mothers for at least that long. It is the healthiest.
Cats can give birth without a vet. I would recommend taking them all (babies and momma) for a check-up at a couple weeks old just to be sure everything is ok and everyone is healthy, but it is not 100% necessary. Just makes ya feel better when you know for sure.
Hope this helps, and good luck!!
You should ask a few question & checking in and out the house would be a excellent idea.
Breed or type of kitten that you would like to buy?
Male or Female?
Have you owned a kitten before?
Do you have any other pets at home? If so, what are they? Are they desexed?
If you own a cat or kitten, how does it behave around cats? What breed of cat or kitten do you own?
Will the kitten be kept in a unit/ flat/ townhouse/ house & yard/ farm/ other?
Do you have a cat enclosure?
How many people live in your home?
Do you have children? If so, what are their ages?
Do you work full-time/ part-time/ never?
Is anyone in your household allergic to pet hair?
Are you aware of the costs involved in owning a cat?
Do you have any specific requirements/personality traits that you would like in a cat?
Do you live near a main road?
Where will the cat sleep? eg: inside house, garage/shed/barn other?
Do you intend moving house? If so, will you be able to take your cat with you?
Do you rent? Has your landlord given permission for a cat? I would get a writting note from their landlord and signed by there landlord to make sure a kitten is allowed on the property.
What would the condition the kitten be kept in? Indoor or Outdoor. For example the white cats-cannot live outdoors at all due to skin cancer risk and many blue eyed white cats are deaf note.85%of blue eyed white cats are deaf.
Other cats that shouldn’t be let outside are cats with pink ears, pink nose, orange nose, ginger cats and some calicos(tortishell&white)
If the white cat has odd eyes such as Blue & yellow they have a high chance of being Deaf in the ear of the blue eye.
Do not rehomed them until they are at least 8weeks old. they need to spend this time with there litter mates to develope proper socialation skills
Do they have time to look after the kitten for 12-14yrs+comitment?
Number 1 get the kitten used to a home environment. plenty of handling a picking up.
Number 2; get them used to the vaccum , washing machines and dryer and try getting it used to children.
Number 3; If they are underweight-don’t rehome them until they have gained the appropiate weght.
Number 4; Make sure they are spay & neutered before being rehomed. they can be spayed and neutered at 6weeks old.
Number 5. Deworm them & get them vet checked
Number 6; Make sure the kitten owners have everything planned ready for the kitten arrival. Such as a scratching post, food bowls, collars, bed etc.
If they don’t look into the buyers before you rehome them-there a likely chance this kittens will end up as a statisitic in a shelter.

One more month means the kittens will be only six weeks old. The kittens should be at LEAST eight weeks old and better twelve weeks old before they leave their mother. .
Why are you allowing your cat to breed? Every kitten she has means another cat or kitten put to death at your local shelter because people took one of your kittens instead. Doesn’t that bother you???? Get your cat SPAYED.
PS: what does "perfectly healthy" to your EYES mean? Are you a vet? And do you have xray vision to see if the kittens have worms? How about being responsible and having a vet check them out? And once the kittens are eight weeks in age and two pounds in weight you should get the kittens spayed or neutered BEFORE they go out so the new owners don’t end up adding to the pet overpopulation even more.
