i have heard that ear mites can be in kittens ears… however i am not sure if my kitten has ear mites, the back side of her ear is bald. I haven’t noticed anything unusual inside her ear, but the outside of her ear is all gross and bald… can earmites effect the outside as well? what is wrong with her ears? take a look for yourself.

Hey, you know I have a cat that had a similar problem and I took her to the vet and they told me she must have rubbed or got into something that irritated her. She always was itching her ears due to the irritation and she too went bald. They gave me some disenfectant wipes to wipe on her ears each day for about a week and they worked. Your kitty might have a skin irritation problem on her ears like mine did. The best way to know for sure and how to treat her is to take her to the vet. I don’t think your kitty has ear mites. The inside of cats ears when they have ear mites are black and flaky looking, and the cat will shake his head like he’s trying to get something off. It kind of sounds like your kitty has a skin or irritation problem. Hope all goes well for you and your kitty.
Yeh now I have seen pics it doesn’t look like ear mites. Ear mites fill the ear canal with black gritty dirt like muck. However ear mites can live on the skin, but usually its the scratching of ears that causes the hair loss and the hair loss on your cat is too symetrical and appears to be no signs of scabs associated with scratching. Only way you will know is to take to vet
yes she definately has ears
need to see in the ear …they do look bald though and scratching will cause that…if u think thats what it is then take to the vet but for now u could clean out w/ peroxide and water 75/25 and a cotton ball and ofcourse u may need help.

my cat hass a very big ear and its looks bad last time this happend it i took her to the vet and they tolled me it was mites can some one email me on nicholson855@hotmailc.om tell let me know if i can do anythink to it so i dont have to travel along way to a vet thanks
