Please help my kitten is about 6-7 weeks old and I cannot tell if it is a female or male…here is a pic…also those two little black dots areblack fur they aren’t lumps or anything but I am SOOO confused thanks so much for any help!

By the way I just got her yesterday and have a vet appt for her shots tomorrow so maybe they can tell me too I just wanted multiple opiniond I appreciate everyone

It is a girl. Girls have vaginas and urethras.
Looks like a girl to me. Take her in to any vet, and they should be able to tell you (even if you don’t have an appt, they’ll look and tell you)
I have a male and a female cat. I would say based on the pics (which are very blurry) that you have a female. The black dots are just coloring… every cat is different.

Be sure to check out what the red line is indicating in the above link… the space between the anus and the genitals. Males have more space for the testes, and females have a smaller gap. I’ve had to use this technique on sexing pup rats before and it can be difficult, especially when you don’t have anything to compare it to first hand.
And I would also suggest a vet visit for a wellness exam and vaccinations. Good luck!

Well to me it looks like a girl. But if you keep that kitten & dont want it to have babys you should get it spayed. I have lot of cats from just one CAT!

I did not look at the pictures, just thought I would say one easy way to know, even when they are very young is that on males the anus and pee spot are further apart than the females.
Looks like a girly-girl to me. Here is how you determine the sex of a young kitten:

More than likely a girl.
Now I had a kitten I thought was a girl but turned out to be a boy.
You might have to wait for it to turn older so you can see it more clearly…
If it had gonads, it is a boy. If not, it is a girl.
Two openings close together = Female
Two openings far from each other = Male
They appear to be close to me…so I would say female
Well when your cat gets older and if you still cant tell physically
If it is a female, it will get pregnant (unless spaded)
If it is a male, it will start to pee on things and mate girls unless it is neutered.
But more than likely it is a girl
You can always take it to a vet if you want to be extra sure.
Or another idea is compare it to pictures of other kittens’ rears and see if it matches more with the girl or boy.
If you arent sure what to name it and not sure what it is…give it a neutral name.
