I want to adopt one of the kittens but I don’t know if its old enough to be taken from mom.
Also, should something be done for the rest of the family?
Note: the kittens look almost exactly the age of these pictured kittens http://letfreedomblog.com/images/kittens.jpg

Those kittens look a little young still.
If I were you I’d call some animal rescues and try to find one that can find them all homes. Let the rescuer know you want to adopt one of the kittens. They’ll either let you keep one right away or hold whichever one you want to adopt. You might have to pay an adoption fee, but it’s a small price when you think about how much vet care would cost you on your own. They get discounts on it and the rest of the money will go to help the other cats.
call your local Spca in your area to take care of them!
The ones in the picture look a little young. Cats can be taken away from their mothers at 8 weeks, though you can wait a little longer.
Is it possible to care for the mother and her kittens until SHE is ready to stop taking care of them? Mom-cats push the kittens away when they are ready.
if i were you i’d take them to a vet to see how old they are and from there you figure out if you want them or not sorry if it wasn’t much help^^
I think you would need to call animal control.
they will come and pick the mom and kittens up and take them to a shelter where they will be fed and cared for. Are they safe where they are now? Call ASAP and get help moving toward them. You might offer the mama cat some meat ( Just put it where she can see and smell it.) to help her produce milk for her babies. don’t try to pet her or pick her up she is apt to be very frightened and will be afraid you will hurt her babies.
The kittens are too young to leave their mom.
i have been feeding a stray ferrill cat that finally warmed up to me, i use to feed the male cat who got her pregnant, but he is missing, probably coyotes, we have them around, he went missing around 2 weeks before easter, and she was pregnate after wards, dont even know when she had them?? was wondering where they were, cuz she would still come to my back yard for food, we have very busy streets here and are loaded with canyons and coyotes, so i figured the kittens didnt survive, after a while of me feeding mama cat and gaining her trust, last night she brought 2 kittens with her! took us 2 hours to coach them in the garage to lock them all in, i was worried they would be coyote food. they look small, and only 2 of them, but they are in my garage scared to death of us, i let mama out in the day, and they hide behind things in the garage, what should i do with them all? and i know no one would want the mom, she looks a little scragly, should i just take the kittens to the humane society and leave mom be? we are trying to socialize the kittens before we take them in. also they are still nursing, but they eat food too. any suggestions?
