found a kitten, could you guess how old she is (picture inside) and how can i get her to sleep?

i gave her some warm milk and she seems happy, but it’s night time and i have to get to bed soon. i want to keep her in a clothing hamper i have that has lots of medium holes in it that she can’t get out of buy she won’t stop mewing!

will she fall asleep soon?

[[when she drank her milk she was lapping it and she is quite agile, she can jump and climb with ease, but still a bit shaky]]

this is the best picture i could take, she just wouldn’t stop moving

she is going to the animal shelter first thing in the morning =[
my parents said we can’t keep her because of my asthma and allergies. don’t worry, i’m friends with the people at the shelter and i called them up and promised to find her a home and said it would be easy since she is young and very cute.

It’s hard to tell from that picture, but probably around 6 weeks old.

Kittens can be vocal, if you want sleep you’ll probably just have to place her in another room for the night. You could try playing with her a lot to wear her out and make her sleepy.

I recently found a stray cat and found to have the same problem. He looks about the same size as the kitten you have. Id say about 6-8 weeks. I have no idea how to get him to sleep either. He sleeps allllllll day and plays all night. I made up a little bed for him and all I did was kept laying him in his bed and petting him while in there. Its starting to help. But I really dont know good, good advice to give you to get him to sleep tonight. Good luck!

I would think about 7-9 wks old.
    Very cute.
I wouldn’t give her anymore milk. Cats shouldnt drink cows milk, its bad for them.
Make sure that she is warm, then she will likely go to sleep.

kittens are like babies…they’ll go to sleep eventually. Put some stuffed animals in with her so she feels like she’s close to her litter mates. Dont forget water!

Awww, what a cute baby! ^^ There are some people posting that are totally off…a couple of weeks? Whaaaat? No, she’s more like a few months, I’d guess somewhere from 3-6.

Anyway, I’d see if you can find "elitist" animal shelters. Oh, I hate them. The ones where they’re no-kill, but you have to make APPOINTMENTS and FEES to drop off the animal? They’ll never kill because they make a profit, and usually very well-intentioned (if confused) and well-off families will go there for pets, little realizing they’re not "saving" anyone. But it means 0% chance of euthanasia and great home prospects.

that kitten is at least 10 to15 weeks old and if going to shelter wouldnt feed any more milk it really is not good for them and yes it will eventually fall asleep

She looks like 4-6wks old… about the size when I found my cat :)

When I found my cat I made a shoe box bed for him… but he would keep meowing too… so I took him out and put him on my chest, where he curled up… he passed out… they are babies and are very dependent… they need comfort!

She is precious! Sorry you can’t keep her for allergies, but glad you have a safe place for her to go until she can be adopted.
She looks 2 1/2-3 wks old.
    Thanks for caring.

    6 weeks?

Turn off the lights, keep it dark. And make sure the environment is quiet. My cat’s kittens goes to sleep when the lights are off. xD
