Someone has put for sale Persian kittens which my friend is interested in buying, yet he’s skeptical. I thought I might ask some users what they thought about them, here are some photos that were accompanied with the post:

It’s quite difficult for us to distinguish whether they really are, because we are quite unfamiliar with Persians. Any help would be appreciated!
The additional problem is that here in the UAE, there is no official way of verifying the pets breed through papers or organizations.

It does not look like it to me, especially if the white cat in the background is the mother. Also, the only way to be sure is if they have registration papers on the kittens from a recognized cat association like CFA or TICA. If the parents aren’t pedigreed and there are no registration papers available for the kittens they are not Persians. ALSO… if they are trying to pass them off as Persians you may be dealing with a back yard breeder or kitten mill. Ask LOTS of questions. A responsible breeder will be more than happy to talk about the pedigrees of her cats and show you anything you ask to see paperwork-wise. A responsible breeder will also have a health guarantee.
Here is what you do
Call the people and ask to see the registration papers on the parents both mother and father. Ask if the litter registration paper has been sent out to get the registration slips so you can register them when they are brought home.
No registration paper on one or both of the parents then they are just a domestic long hair cat. They have to be registered to be persian, no if and or buts about it. Both parents must be registered and ask to see the papers. If they don’t have them or know where they are then they may not have any to begin with. You want to register the kitten as a Persian and you have to get the paper work from them. Again no paper work then no Persian.

Pictures don’t mean anything only the paper.
Yes they are Persians. You can see the mother in one of the pictures and you can see that she is a Persian but doesn’t have the smooshed in face like some of them, if that is what you are looking for in the kittens, there are Persians without that but yes they definitely are. Here’s some pictures of Persian kittens and Persians that are almost identical to the ones in the post your looking at.

I hope I could help ya out (:
Good luck.
They are pointed Persians (another term would be Himalayn). They are pet quality from pet quality parents – the noses and face is too long. Nothing wrong with them, but they certainly would not win in a show ring. They would do fine showing as a household pet.
The kittens are probably not even registered with a registry and don’t come with papers. I would pay no more then $50-100 for those kittens. And willing to bet the person is not requiring them to be spayed or neutered either. Check to see if they come with shots, worming and spayed/neutered.
