I’ve rescued 2 adorable kittens =) I don’t know their gender yet…will be going to the vet tomorrow; for a check up & all…
1 kitten – has stripes, short hair, grey & black colour…I’m thinking of his or her name: if a boy: Simba….if a girl: Nela
the 2nd kitten – has blue eyes, long hair, white, grey ….if a girl: Molly… if a boy: Albert or Harry?
What do you think?
Any other names? =)

Do you know how old they are approx???? – Which would help to determine the age. I can tell you if the space between (and please excuse the frankness) their butt spot and the pee spot is small or short….. I guess what I want to say if is if it’s more than a half to 3/4 of an inch it’s more than likely a boy and if it’s close together (under 1/2 inch) it’s a girl. Basically the larger or longer the space between their (and again please excuse me) their poop and pee holes determines male to female.
My email is rerenier@new.rr.com. I grew up on a farm and would love to share what I know. While I’m not an expert – I do know some things about kitties. Email me if you like. My name is Rose.
Here are some useful tips in choosing a name for your cat.
- Please remember that the pet-name you choose will used dozens of times a day to call, praise and perhaps scold.
- Pick a name that the pet can easily recognize. Animals respond better to one or two syllable names.
- Choose a name that’s both easy to call out and one that you are happy calling out.
- If choosing a long name keep in mind the shortened version. A long name will inevitably be shortened, but it may ruin the effect that you were originally looking for.
- The pet’s breed heritage can provide some useful inspiration. For example: Siamese, Balinese, Korat, and Burmese are Oriental breeds; Don Sphynx and Peterbald are Russian; Abyssinian is Egyptian; Chartreux is French; Bombay are British; Devon Rex is English.
- Waiting a few days to study your pets behavior can help pick the right name. The Personality and Appearance categories may assist here.
- Pick a name that will grow with the pet. For example "Kitten" may be less appropriate for a full grown cat.
In my opinion, it’s more meaningful when you name your pet yourself. Check out these websites for tons of pet name ideas… you can search by breed, gender, color, meaning, and first letter of the name.
Good names for them both: Chip and Dale, Salt and Pepper, Mac and Cheese. We have two kittens named Salt and Pepper. They aren’t twins (they aren’t even from the same family) but they’re cute names.
The names you have given are wonderful. If you don’t like any one’s suggestions on here definately go with one of the ones you’ve posted on here.
